The local government of Bocaue would like to invite you to cover this year's BOCAUE KALIKASAN SUMMIT. The summit, which will be held on April 29, 2019 (5:00 am to 12:30 pm), aims to create awareness and promote our stance against the proliferation of single use plastic. As we all know, single use plastic chokes our waterways and inflicts harm to marine life.
Our activities include the following:
- Bocaue river and community clean-up (5:00 am).
- Igulot creek clean-up and the benefits of Bokashi balls, a technology from Japan that is being used to clean rivers and oceans.
- Kalikasan Summit, a series of talks and discussion about the environment (8:00 am).
Our guest of honor is Ms. Gina Lopez, current chairperson of the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission and former DENR Secretary.
This project is in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Bulacan, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc. - Bantay Kalikasan, Liga ng mga Barangay- Bocaue and SK Federation- Bocaue. The Bocaue Kalikasan Summit is part of Clean Water Campaign and Bocaue RiverTown Wonders, an initiative to promote our town as a tourist destination.
